Dr. Kevin Skinner is a leader and authority on sexually compulsive behavior, infidelity and trauma from sexual betrayal. He is a core faculty member of IITAP (International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals), Clinical Director and Co-Founder of Addo Recovery, a nationally sought out therapy clinic that specializes in those experiencing sexually compulsive behavior, infidelity, and sexual trauma, as well as the Clinical Director, main online course provider, and Co-Founder of the free online course communities – Bloom, which supports those healing from the trauma of infidelity or betrayal, and Path, which provided specialized, empathetic, and compassionate support those desiring to overcome unwanted sexual behaviors and repair damaged relationships.
Dr. Skinner is also the author of several books on these subjects including Treating Trauma from Sexual Betrayal: The Essential Tools for Healing, Treating Pornography Addiction: The Essential Tools for Recovery, and Treating Sexual Addiction: A Compassionate Approach to Recovery.
His methods are based on his own research stemming from more than 250,000 assessments and over 20 years experience. Over the last 15 years he’s focused more specifically on how sexual betrayal creates PTSD-like symptoms in betrayed partners.
