Guiding you back to hope

Sometimes, life feels like it’s too much. So, we take the courageous step to seek help. With support, we learn to rebuild what previously felt broken. We experience hope again, even after all felt lost.

But how do we sustain our healing as we find a new way forward?

The road to health and healing is ongoing—and sometimes, that road can feel long and wayward. That’s where we come in. To guide you back to hope. To illuminate the path. To give you a map.

Life can be complicated; healing doesn’t have to be.

What you can expect to experience at Onsite’s Intensive Outpatient Program

Evaluation and Treatment Planning

Before diving into weekly programming at our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), we’ll work with you to identify your specific goals and needs. Throughout this initial assessment, we’ll discuss your goals, life history, current stressors, and past treatment to plan your experience.

From there, our dedicated team of professionals will curate a comprehensive treatment plan to equip you on a path of sustained healing.

Group Therapy Sessions

Every week, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in group therapy created to support individual health and well-being within a flourishing community. Group sessions are three hours long and happen three times a week.

Group sessions are every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9 am-12 pm or 6 pm-9 pm.

Individual Therapy Sessions

In addition, you’ll have weekly one-on-one sessions with a designated therapist who will utilize techniques such as EMDR, Brainspotting, and Internal Family Systems to process trauma and adversity and to foster healing, connection, and growth.

Individual sessions are once per week for 90 minutes. These sessions are held throughout the week to fit your schedule.

Family Therapy Sessions

At least one family session can be part of your treatment. Whether you choose to bring a partner, parent, sibling, or best friend, we will help you enhance your connection and support your most important relationships.

Customized, innovative care to help you find sustained health

Group Therapy

Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy in which one or more therapists work with a small group of clients together. Research shows that healing happens best in the context supportive relationships. With the guidance of a skilled professional, group members offer each other support, compassion, and connection that allows for deeper healing than individual therapy alone.

Experiential Therapy

Experiential therapy may be used to treat everything from everyday struggles to trauma to grief and loss; it is also regularly used as a component of substance abuse treatment. A fundamental premise of experiential therapy is that one’s perception determines one’s behavior. By harnessing various types of creative expression to re-experience and release negative emotions, the client may experience positive feelings such as love, forgiveness, and calm in the present. Examples of experiential therapy include play therapy, art therapy, music therapy, and psychodrama.

Psychodrama

Psychodrama is a type of experiential therapy in which the client creates and performs scenes based on a past life event that caused or continues to cause distress. Re-enacting these situations in a safe space allows the client to process and let go of negative emotions triggered by the event, as well as develop more adaptive ways of responding to similar situations in the future. Psychodrama offers a creative way for an individual or group to explore and solve personal problems and gain insight into their lives. For decades, Onsite has utilized and pioneered the use of psychodrama to support life change, healing, and growth.

What is Onsite’s IOP?

Onsite’s IOP provides integrated care for our Nashville community. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides safe and engaging weekly group programming in conjunction with best-in-class individual trauma counseling, resulting in a customized healing experience to help you find sustained wholeness.

What is an intensive outpatient program (IOP)?

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are an option for treating PTSD, depression, stress, trauma, and many other mental health concerns. The level of care is more structured and rigorous than individual therapy and less than inpatient treatment. You participate in 10 hours of therapy per week. Clients attending an IOP live at home or on their own and are able to continue with many of their normal day-to-day activities while attending programming in the morning or evening.

An IOP can help Onsite intensive clients and Milestones residential clients transition more seamlessly back into their families, careers, and communities. This structured programming can assist clients in establishing healthy support and effective coping strategies in real-time.

Why an intensive outpatient program (IOP)?

Many people have family or work commitments that prevent them from entering or remaining in residential care. They can’t step away from their lives for an extended period of time, yet they would benefit from more in-depth, sustained care.

Intensive Outpatient Programs are an effective and important part of the continuum of care for many people while improving overall treatment engagement and outcomes.

How can Onsite’s IOP support my transition out of residential treatment?

Intensive outpatient programs provide a helpful, transitional step-down from the support of a residential environment. They allow you the opportunity to integrate your recovery and your 2-degree shifts into the “real” world while remaining within the context of a safe and supportive community.

Onsite’s IOP is an invitation for clients to continue their journey of care within our umbrella of services in Nashville.

Who can benefit from an intensive outpatient program?

Intensive outpatient programs are a great fit for someone who needs more support than weekly therapy sessions, someone who is transitioning out of residential treatment or a therapeutic intensive, or someone who would benefit from additional treatment opportunities but can’t step away from home, work, or life for an extended period of time.
