Episode 057: “Living Centered in Recovery”

Featuring Amanda Eilol, LCSW

Today on the Living Centered Podcast, Hannah and Mickenzie are joined by Onsite Guide and therapist, Amanda Eilola. Together, the three explore the topics of recovery, addiction, and medicators.

Sharing from her own recovery journey, 18 years of sobriety, and almost 20 years working in the field of addiction, Amanda helps us understand medicators (the ways we all use external things to turn down the noise of internal pain), how they help us cope, and the warning signs we might miss when it comes to addiction. Throughout the conversation, she also shares how to address concerning behaviors displayed by people we love who are struggling.

If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction, we hope this interview invites you to examine this topic with empathy, curiosity, and compassion. If you need help, we encourage you to view a list of resources we’ve compiled below.
