What is the Living Centered program?

Living Centered is a six-day, therapist-guided group therapy intensive designed to help you better understand the patterns shaping your life, relationships, and responses. Through experiential group work, psychoeducation, reflection, and guided activities, you’ll have dedicated time and support to explore what’s keeping you stuck and practice new ways of moving forward.

Is Living Centered a therapy retreat?

Living Centered combines the focused therapeutic work of a group therapy intensive with the restorative setting of an immersive retreat. Your days include therapist-guided experiential group therapy and psychoeducation, while lodging, meals, time in nature, and thoughtfully designed spaces allow you to step away from everyday distractions and focus on the work.

Who is Living Centered for?

Living Centered may be a fit if you feel stuck in familiar patterns, disconnected from yourself or others, overwhelmed by life, or simply know there is something you’d like to understand more deeply.

People come for many different reasons—from relationship patterns and family-of-origin experiences to shame, codependency, stress, burnout, and a desire for greater self-awareness.

You do not need to have everything figured out before you come. Our Admissions team will talk with you about what you’re experiencing and help determine whether Living Centered is the right Onsite experience for you.

Still deciding? Read our guide to finding the Onsite program that fits your needs.

How is a therapy intensive different from weekly therapy?

Weekly therapy gives you consistent support over time. A therapy intensive creates dedicated space to step outside your normal routine and spend concentrated time exploring a particular area of your life.

At Living Centered, you’ll participate in approximately six hours of experiential group therapy each day, along with psychoeducation, reflection, meditation, and community experiences.

For some guests, this immersive format may create space to notice and work with patterns that can be difficult to access amid the demands of everyday life.

What happens during a typical day at Living Centered?

Each day includes a combination of experiential group therapy, psychoeducational teaching, meditation or reflection, and guided community activities. You’ll spend approximately six hours each day in therapeutic group work with a small cohort, with time built around the work for meals, rest, connection, and the restorative experience of the Onsite campus.

What kinds of therapy are used in Living Centered?

Living Centered incorporates experiential therapy, group therapy, and psychodrama. Rather than focusing only on talking about what you know intellectually, experiential approaches create opportunities to notice patterns as they happen and practice new ways of responding in a supportive environment.

What topics may I explore during Living Centered?

Every person’s experience is different, but Living Centered commonly explores themes including family of origin, shame, relationship patterns, codependency, childhood experiences, trauma, coping patterns, self-awareness, and the ways past experiences may continue to influence your present life.

How much does Living Centered cost?

Living Centered is currently $6,900. The program fee includes the therapeutic experience, accommodations, meals, and access to the Onsite campus during your stay.

If you have questions about cost, payment, or upcoming program availability, our Admissions team can help you understand the next steps.

What is the difference between Living Centered and Healing Trauma?

Both are therapist-guided Onsite Group Intensives, but they serve different needs.

Living Centered is a broader foundational experience focused on understanding patterns, relationships, self-awareness, and the experiences shaping how you move through life.

Healing Trauma is more specifically focused on understanding and processing trauma and its continued impact.
